Whistler Blackcomb Is Now Epic!

Well of course Whistler Blackcomb is epic but it’s now part of the Epic Pass. Just what is the Epic Pass you might ask? As of October 17th, 2016 Vail Resorts, Inc. announced that the Company has purchased Whistler Blackcomb. Vail Resorts, Inc. owns many resorts throughout North America and in celebration of closing the deal, they have put together a wonderful package that just made your 2016/2017 ski season even better!

The Epic Pass Holders

A year prior to fully integrating Whistler Blackcomb into the the Epic Season’s pass, Vail Resorts has provided full access to the following mountains and in addition, pass holders will get 5 days at Whistler Blackcomb. As of the 2017/2018 season, Whistler Blackcomb will fully be part of the Epic Pass’s resort accessibility. Some black out dates apply. The following resorts have full access with the Epic Pass:

  • Vail
  • Beaver Creek
  • Breckenridge
  • Keystone
  • Park City
  • Heavenly
  • Northstar
  • Kirkwood
  • Wilmot
  • Afton Alps
  • Mt. Brighton
  • Arapahoe Basin

Redeeming it is easy! Just bring your season pass and ID to a Guest Services location at Whistler Blackcomb, at which point a new card will be issued with the appropriate number of days on it.

Whistler Blackcomb Pass Holders

If you have a Winter 2016/2017 Unlimited Pass, Spirit Pass or Sea-to-Sky Pass, you are able to use it for 5 days at any of the other North American resorts that fall under the Epic Pass. To use your free days, bring your season pass and ID to a season pass office at a Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar or Kirkwood season pass office, and a temporary pass card will be given to you. There are blackout dates that also apply to this perk!

At this time, Vail Resorts, Inc. is encouraging resort users to purchase the season’s pass that best suits their need. As mentioned, in the near future, one pass will be available for access to all resorts that Vail owns (Canadian, American, and Australian resorts).

And as for your Edge Card- It’s only usable on Whistler Blackcomb so if you plan on travelling to any of the above mentioned resorts, you may want to re-think your pass choice!

Now that Whistler Blackcomb is part of the Epic Pass and the American dollar is so good, it makes perfect sense to book your 2016/2017 ski vacation now! Hurry, the good news travels fast and so do the hotel deals, call us today!
