Lights, camera, action- It’s time for the Whistler Film Festival. From November 29th until December 3rd, Whistler Village becomes the destination for cinematic art. Over the course of the 5 days, a selection of up to 90 films from Canada and around the world will be shown throughout the village. Many of these films are new and innovative, making them a must see. The Whistler Film Festival isn’t confined to just films, events also take place, joining the industry, talent, patrons and festival participants together in celebration. Events
The fun doesn’t stop at the credits. During the festival, there are a number of events ranging from interviews to galas.
Signature Series
The signature series consists of an intimate on-stage interview with a distinguished director, actor or actress.

Galas
The Whistler Film Festival doesn’t just open and close the festival. It has a party that includes a screening and reception. Dress to the nines and experience the red carpet for yourself.

Awards
Many of the entries into the festival aren’t just for show, they are competing for huge prizes. The Whistler Film Festival is actually an international competition and the award ceremony honors the talent behind the creative pieces.

Films
The films are selected from all over the world but at least 50% are Canadian. Viewers will get to enjoy world premieres, features, documentaries and shorts.

A to B Rollerski Directed by Arnis Aspers
“A to B Rollerski is a feature documentary film that tells the story of Raimonds Dombrovskis’ epic roller-ski journey from Arctic to Baja back in 1988, covering 4200 miles in 90 days.
Buying Tickets
Come for one viewing or come for ten. Regardless, tickets are required to attend. There are ticket packages, VIP Patron Passes and Industry Passes as well as individual film or event tickets. These are available through the Whistler Film Festival online box office or the Whistler Box office, which opens November 24, 2017 for in-person sales.
