Spring Break in Whistler

Spring is such a great time of year in Whistler. The weather is warming up, the skiing is still phenomenal and the days are getting longer which means more time for fun! And with so much to see and do, Whistler has something for everyone.

Check out our recommendations for an awesome spring break in Whistler.

Historically, March can be one of the snowiest months of the year in Whistler. Don’t be alarmed if there’s no snow in the forecast though. No snow usually means sunny ski days which can be just as fun as a fresh snow day.

As of March 12, 2020, the snowpack is sitting at 258cm so there’s plenty of great skiing left for the season! For up-to-date snow and weather reports, check out the Whistler Blackcomb website.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing activity or something to get your heart pumping, Whistler has a huge selection of activities available. Some of our guests’ springtime favourites include: ziplining with Ziptrek, snowmobile tours with Canadian Wilderness, trying out bobsledding and luge at the Whistler Sliding Centre or relaxing at the Scandinave Spa.

What better way to end a great day of skiing or sightseeing than après. And one great thing about springtime après is that it is officially patio season in Whistler! Whistler has some great patios with stellar views, awesome atmospheres and delicious food and drinks. Check out our blog post on the Best Patios in Whistler for some must-visit après spots.

What to Pack for Spring Break in Whistler

As with any time of year in the Coast Mountains, spring weather in Whistler can be variable. Being prepared will help you stay comfortable and make the most of your trip no matter what Mother Nature throws at you.

We recommend packing a good variety of layers, weatherproof outerwear and sturdy footwear. Check out our blog post on How to Pack for a Ski Holiday. It has some great tips, even if you don’t plan on skiing during your spring break in Whistler.
