Family Day is fast approaching, and you may be wondering what fun activities you can do with your whole family on this special day. Whistler has plenty of options for all ages, but here are some of our favourites.

Scavenger Hunt

Looking for a fun way to spend the day? Try this fun scavenger hunt (print here or collect from Tourism Whistler.) It takes you to all kinds of fun sights around Whistler. Test your trivia, find out some history, get some cool pictures and have some tasty treats.

Try Bobsleigh

What could be more fun than speeding down the fastest bobsleigh track in the world? To make Family Day more special, Whistler Sliding Centre is letting kids aged 14 -18 bobsleigh for free with a paying adult. Adults also get a 15% discount too.

Nordic Skiing

Want a fun alternative to downhill skiing? Nordic or Cross Country skiing is a favourite for people of all ages. Lost Lake park has 30km of trails all around beautiful Whistler and is offering 50% off all cross country and snowshoe tickets on February 18. Ski or Snowshoe to the warming hut for free hot chocolate and marshmallows around the outdoor fire pit.

Ziptrek

Fly high in the sky with Ziptrek Ecotours and save 15% when you book 72 hours in advance. A fun way to see the mountains, whilst getting an adrenaline rush. Don’t worry, it’s not as scary as it sounds!

Ice Skating

Get your skates on and glide around the ice at Whistler Olympic Plaza. Skate to music with some spectacular views and with an ice rink that’s half outside, so on a snowy day, you can enjoy soft snowflakes falling on your head. Skating with skate hire available for $8. The ice rink is open 11 am to 8.30 pm daily.

Coca Cola Tube Park

Enjoy a ride in a rubber tube down a 1000ft tube hill. You can make it more fun for the older kids by joining rings and going down as a group, racing each other or trying out the black runs. Upload from Excalibur gondola to Base II on Blackcomb Mountain, between 11am and 8pm. You can purchase a single ride for $5 or $14/ $29 for one to two hours.
