As the snow melts in the lower elevations, the resort offers some of the best spring skiing in the world. Long runs, spring powder, and plenty of sun, spring skiing is a great way to extend the ski season. Many of the ski resorts also offer special spring packages and discounts, making it an affordable option for those looking to get in some lastminute skiing and snowboarding. Don’t forget your sunscreen or a goggle tan will be in your future!

Hiking and Biking:

Slowly but surely, the trails around Whistler open up for hiking and biking as April turns into May. From easy trails through the forest to more challenging routes along the mountains, theres something for everyone. The springtime is an especially good time to explore the area, as temperatures are mild.

Snowmobiling:

Snowmobiling is still a great way to explore the backcountry around Whistler. Since it is easy to access higher elevations, this activity runs well into the spring months. Enjoy vistas and even dinner at cabins depending on your preference.

Gondola Ride:

The chairlifts and gondolas at Whistler remain open until the end of the ski season and beyond. A gondola ride to the top of the mountain is a great way to take in the views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Stop for lunch at either the Roundhouse on Whistler Mountain or Rendevous on Blackcomb Mountain.
